Raw Chef Chelly, Before and After Raw Diet
I am going strong, and have finally moved off my plateau from last week. I love the blogs, and connecting with others on this journey to wholeness, thank you for making this possible for all of us. AND I am still off my insulin...of course I am taking your advice and doing greens instead of fruits, its working...N
Jinjee, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you my personal feedback. I have followed the program (eating) almost to the T . I feel wonderfully energetic and so proud I have accomplished this! I needed my husband’s support which I got. I loved the daily emails. They were ALL so helpful and jam packed with solid information. The site was also excellent. Everything I saw was top drawer. I could not be happier and would recommend this to anyone who wants more in terms of their health! YES, I would do it again. We are armed with so many new delicious recipes. Plus we know that a fast is nothing to be afraid of and that it is a gift to our bodies.
Cheers to you and THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I am doing a 30 day cleanse with my father who has diabetes and we are on day 17. He was on 25 units of insulin per day when we started and now he is down to 7 units. I thought my blog might be inspiring to some of your readers who may also be having trouble regulating their blood sugar. If my dad can do it anyone can! He loves his 'SAD' diet and he has been kicking and screaming through this entire process. He's still hanging in there and I want his story to help others.

Hi Jinjee, thanks for replying to me, I had been wondering if you had any other diabetics go through your cleanse, no worries because I took a leap and am flying now...I decided to not take my insulin the night before the water fast, and now 1 week since I last took insulin, my blood sugars are perfect, and I have nearly lost 20 pounds. I just wanted to share this with you, and thank you for having this cleanse available, I feel like I have my life back. Cheers, Nikita.
Good morning everyone, I can hardly believe that it's day 17! I haven't been counting, just going day by day. So today is Wednesday of the third week.Yup, it's been cold here and I've been loving it!

feel very good, happy, light, clear, healthy, smiling, laughing, and efficient
ready for new adventures - and more of this delicius food :))))

I have been practicing a raw living foods diet on and off over 20 years. The 21 Day cleanse with the Garden Diet was a practical approach that simplified the challenge of eating 100% raw. The recipes were easy to create, tasted delicious and were a satisfying combination of foods. My energy level and mental clarity was a welcomed presence. Despite it being a cold Winter I managed to stick with the diet and lost 9 lbs and dropped a size mostly losing weight around my midsection. If I had followed all the exercise routines I know more weight could have been shed. This is a great program for the beginner or the seasoned raw foodist wanting a solid foundation or support to get back on track. There is no drug or pill that has the ability to do what eating 100% living foods can for the well being of a body and life. Thank you Jinjee and Storm for your inspiration and dedication to share this knowledge!

Hello Dear Jinjee,
I've done the 28 days transition started on July 26th, I lost 25 pounds in the first 2 months.LJ
I'm preparing dinner for day 6 of the 21 Day Cleanse. My experience has been so positive, my daughter wishes to do it too. You have done such a wonderful job in combining the food, movement, and soul components! It's a total program.
Thank you so much. I am enjoying the 21-day cleanse and this is my first experience with eating totally raw food. YUM ! ! ! !
Cheers ........... Deborah
I would also like to thank you for the 21-day cleanse! I am 51 years old and was married on 10/10/10. My husband and I wanted to lose weight before the big day and I knew your cleanse would work better than any other program. I lost a total of 17 pounds and my gown fit perfectly, and Tom lost 16 pounds and looked wonderful in his tuxedo! We cheated a little on our honeymoon in Aruba but now that we're back home I'd like to continue eating raw as much as possible. We missed the beginning of your 28-day program but are ready to jump right in. Thank you again for a wonderful program; many of my friends and family members are now interested and I'll forward them information when you begin another cleanse!
Best wishes,
Ildiko
i've been doing well; getting my workouts in and following the menu closely - not 100%, but feel good about things and look forward to the coming weeks. what a great experience and a wonderful class. i'm glad i found you guys.

Cleo, Before Raw Diet at 27 and After Raw Diet at 51!!!
I am really loving the 28 day program. I have found not having to think about what to eat has taken all the stress about going raw for me.
Thanks for all you have done to make going raw sooo easy for me!
Blessings

I have been holding my body in the highest regard for several years now, after 30 years of abuse with cigarettes, alcohol, and an eating disorder. The cleanse was such a gift for my body, and for my very soul. It's the first cleanse I have ever done. The healing is on many levels - physical, emotional, and spiritual.
With deep gratitude,
Anne
Hi Jinjee, OK, got the pdf files and will shop tomorrow to fill in items I don't already have. This is such a perfect time of year to do this. The fresh fruits and vegetables available are endless! I've done the last two 21 day cleanses. The 28 day transition menus are intriguing and I look forward to a whole new me!! Thanks for sharing your RAW lifestyle with all of us newbies! Hugs.Marie-Paule
Following the 2 last 21 cleanses it's great to get on this next venture of 28 days transition. I really feel supported on this journey into raw this summer. My body feels wonderful, I am happy, doing exercises in the form of Kundalini yoga + bicycle and mountain hiking also helps to keep me motivated.
Thank you for this initiative.
So glad to be here, just finished the 21 day cleanse and loved it! I feel great! Released 9 pounds and 2.5% body fat without feeling hungry or deprived. Also, have finally been able to eat fruit again after a 10 year battle, so very grateful! I am looking forward to this 28 day program and making new friends. In my real life, I am an author, writer and most importantly mom to a beautiful 9 year old daughter and wife to an incredible man. We both work from home and love the life we have created. I went vegetarian years ago, then became vegan as dairy and meat began to make me physically ill and finally the next step is raw vegan and I feel better than I have in 2 decades. Feel free to add me as a friend and let's support one another! in gratitude, Caryn
Hi Jinjee and Storm I enjoyed the 21 day cleanse, it was a beautiful experience. I'm looking forward to the next 28 days and committing to the raw lifestyle once and for all. lol Your program has been very instrumental the simplicity of the meals, the exercise routines, and most of all the journaling (a real eye opener). Thank you and Storm for everything.....
I have followed and admired Jinjee & Storm for the past 7 years - dabbling in the raw food experience for that long, as well. This is the first time that I have made a commitment on this scale (to myself and a larger group!). I am excited about all that I will learn about the raw food life style. Every time that I have "gone raw," I have felt great...then something throws me off course, and my connection and patterns with cooked food kick right back in!!! It is clear that I cannot go it alone...at least until I have more raw knowledge and tools.
I look forward to our all working together toward our goals...and being a part of this wonderful community!
i did the 21-day cleanse earlier this year.....i was extremely successful with the 21 day cleanse - so much so that i did not do the 28 day transition program that i'd signed up for...because i already considered myself a raw foodie before the 21 days was over....i have had no cravings/temptations/desires for cooked/processed foods since even before the cleanse started....the shopping lists and recipes were just what i needed to jumpstart my new lifestyle...i had information but was unsure how to put it all together....thanks storm and jinjee for making it so simple....a friend (who is diabetic) was doing the cleanse with me, and before the three weeks were over, her blood sugars were down to normal....she considers herself cured of diabetes....patricia
The great gift in this cleanse is that my partner decided to do it with me. He's been diligent, has not had his daily coffee & sugar, has more energy AND no longer has indigestion. He thinks it's letting go of coffee w/sugar. E

It snowed so much last weekend that I used my new snowshoes for the first time. What fun! I've been preparing for this since August when I bought them, and began my daily walks - walking & picking my knees up higher and stepping wider. Preparation pays off! This is the third winter I've tried to be Raw. Three seems to be the magic number for me. This time it's working. L
Me too! I have been doing more physical stuff at work, rearranging lots of files...drawers full and boxes full, and also went to the gym last night for the first time in months and months so today I am feeling quite hungry....but I have just eaten a couple of extra bananas....and drank more water....and when I looked in the fridge and was thinking of eating my old way I just said......nah...I want to stay raw.....which is exciting as in the past I would give in. S
As I wrote in my blog about my lower back not hurting like when I first started my cleanse, my whole body is feeling so much better. I noticed this morning that my facial skin is looking so much more bright and rosy. I like that. I am also feeling very alive and alert. I feel energetic. My thoughts are more organized and I desire to have more order in my life. The routine has been a tremendous help in setting up more order in my life and my sons. J
I have just been feeling better and better and have realized that my issue with my digestion was cooked food. I guess it is because I had been eating more raw than cooked for quite a while and have been wanting to go raw and this opportunity was perfect for me. I have done the workout and feel stronger. I am completely enjoying this journey. I had no problems with the day. I was just very busy with things to do.
Hello everybody! I am so excited to be back. I did the last cleanse program, stayed 100% raw - still 100% raw- but didn't stay on the cleanse 100% because I was on vacation. I have released 16 pounds so far! I have about 10 to 15 to go. I am a teacher and had trouble in the past staying raw due to the hectic schedule but feel so much more in control now. Thank you Jinjee for all the inspiration in the before, during, and after the summer. E
Feel very good, happy, light, clear, healthy, smiling, laughing, and efficient, ready for new adventures - and more of this delicious food :)))) JS
Right on Jinjee! Today I saw a co-worker eating something I used to eat and I wanted it so bad. I thought to myself, why would I eat something just because someone else is eating it. I started back getting focused on my work and I allowed myself to feel the feeling and moved on.
Love the videos, thanks Jinjee.
I appreciate this attitude and agree with it. This morning I realized that most likely some of my patterning around food is connected with feelings of 'failure' on some level, set into a cycle which while 'negative' in terms of getting out of it has long term patterning. If I cannot be 'perfect' on this program ... I can see emotionally that can trigger an "I am not perfect" feeling which relates back to long ago when these patterns got set up. Then the emotions overwhelm and it is more likely I will 'quit' in order to not continue to be retriggered. If a program is so difficult from where I stand at the beginning that I have to feel I am failing the first or second day, it cannot work. Jinjee, you are so very wise in helping and supporting us to be kind and flexible with ourselves and our present limitations. I feel 'empowered' if I need to 'adjust' the program once in awhile that I am not a failure. The message is clear: You are NOT A FAILURE and it is ok to make some adjustments to succeed. This is important stuff. Thank you Jinjee for your wisdom and compassion. It is felt deeply.
Krystal Rose
This is my first experience with raw food cleansing and, surprisingly, I love all your raw recipes.
Thank you,Dina
Hi Jinjee,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for pairing me up with an e- pal, a wonderful idea that has so many benefits. It's great to have another person to ask questions to when maybe it's not necessary to bother you with them, plus I love meeting new people in whatever form it takes. You and Storm have done such a great job with the way you have set up this whole cleanse, even though I've been having some struggles this is such a cool experience and has already added so much to my life.
Thanks again,
Robin
I just wanted to ask you not to assign me a program pal for the 28 day program as well. My schedule still does not allow me much of an opportunity for computer time. The food part of the 21 day cleanse went well for me. Unfortunately, I was not able to squeeze in many workouts. I still ended up losing about 18 pounds. Hopefully, I will be able to utilize the workout portion this time !
Thank you,
Mary
Hi Jinjee!
I want to thank you early for this wonderful program!
I am already enjoying more energy, better sleep, more
mental clarity and well-being, more "lightness" both
physically and emotionally, and overall more JOY!I love your daily motivation and happiness
exercises! I love the freedom and variety in recipes
and exercise options! I love the guilt-free approach! My favorite recipe from you is the oranges/banana/berry
smoothie, with greens added in sometimes!Susan
"Thanks for all the time, effort, and attention to detail you created on this cleanse. It isn't often you get to talk to the person in charge and I loved doing so on the 2nd conference call. Please tell Storm thank you and your children for sharing their mom. You did a wonderful job and I look forward to reading your daily blog everyday. It gives me a boost and motivation to make changes. Thanks so much for helping me be true to myself on this cleanse".

"The best thing I have noticed about this cleanse is that if I am hungry, I do not have to eat, water is what I need first.
When I do eat, I do not eat even a fourth of what I usually eat and I am full.
I am not getting headaches..Amen...
My body is not in pain when I awake in the morning.
My clothes I just bought for mother's day are way too big (I have to take them back).
I am sleeping better, I do not need a fan blowing at me and I breathe easier while sleeping.
I think more clearer than I have in months.
Got a bike on Saturday - I enjoy riding it and have found a bike path down the street from my home, been tearing it up...hitting the meddle peddle...Fun, fun, fun...I road around the path 4 times (four miles).
I have discovered myself...I know that I am a wonderful, loving, giving person and warm person.
And the biggest thing that I discovered is that I CAN DO IT...I can continue to be raw thru all the potato chips, Pepsi, cake, cookies, coffee, chicken, hamburgers, fried rice, sausages, pancakes, milk and white chocolate, fried sea food and enjoy the food that I am eating that is simple, easy, is filling and most of all it taste great...
I have lost twenty pounds and I am loving it and myself"

"I have been 100% raw for one entire week even while my kids are with me (an amazing feat for me, especially since I made them some cooked things.) And, as happens with me when I do 100% for more than about three and a half days, the feelings come rolling in. How smart I have been to alleviate these overwhelming feelings using food, or at least chewing, anyway. But, that was a coping mechanism that had its place and time, and I now want the growth that comes from being with my feelings instead of running from them. So I am going to continue coming here and staying connected to you guys with the goal of walking through them this time"

"I was thrilled with the 21 day cleanse. I was ready for change and that paired with the cleanse buddy, the excellent recipes, this blog site, the workouts, and the happiness reminders was a total package for me. I felt like I could ask Storm and Jinjee questions and they are such humble people and so generous with their time and talents that was a big wow factor for me. What I learned and what I got out of this cleanse:
• I lost 15 pounds and my clothes fit great
• I gained confidence in eating cleaner when others around me are not
• I learned that I feel better with I eat live foods
• I learned to be in self control
• I lost my sugar cravings
• I liked being reminded that exercise and happiness are a cycle (thanks Jinjee)
• I liked the workouts (although I couldn't do them due to training I plan to start them tomorrow)
• I liked being able to ask questions to others and having a cleanse buddy (shout out to A in Israel!)
• I liked being part of a group that was trying to create change
• I learned that I could compete in athletic events being raw and be stronger than with a cooked diet
• I learned how to create simple, yummy meals to satisfy my cravings
• I felt sexier
• I felt like I was doing the right thing for my body when my neighbors are all doing those shots of HCG to lose weight. They may lose weight, but they don't look that good, where as I have rosy cheeks and they say I "radiate health."
My husband also did the cleanse and he was even more perfect than me. He lost 20 pounds and has learned that he can reach for a piece of fruit or vegetable and be delighted by the taste. He learned that ice-cream makes him hike slower and that he feels better when eating lighter. He is planning on making some life style changes although he won't be 100% raw, he is excited about what this cleanse did for him and made him realize and he is supportive of what I what to do in the future.
Thank you to all of you on this site, to "A" my cleanse buddy- I couldn't have done it without you, I have learned so much from you. Thank you to Jinjee for all the time you spent on putting this together. I look up to you and your family so much. I am going to continue down this path in joy".
"I am so thankful to your 21-day program. Mike (former pasta/pizza/ice cream-addicted husband) learned to love our kitchen appliances (blender/juicer/food processor). We’ve been having lots of fun in the kitchen. Yes, Jinjee….YOU have found your calling! Keep up the great work! One of the best things in your program is the exact meal plan with exact recipes and easy shopping lists. Even though we repeated a couple of your Week 1 recipes during Week 2 (when we could not juice)….it was great to have your schedule posted in the kitchen. (I LOVE the coconut/celery chowder! And newbie/rawbie Mike finds avocados very grounding when hungry.) Also, as an added benefit, we have made so many new friends via the local farmers’ markets. And we are making a difference (esp. during the oil crisis) by buying local produce. These changes will be permanent….we have vowed to buy local food (w/in a 100-mile or less radius).
"I have more energy and sleep better and I have felt very nice working out. Thank you so much for the recipes they have helped me to enjoy the raw foods so much more".
- S
"Feel such a balance today yippppppppie. thxs for the opportunity to do this cleanse".

"I visited your website when my raw friend sent it to me. I’m raw because it’s the first thing since I was like 13 that’s made my IBS better. I have even a few bites of bread or cheese and I’m doubled over in cramps or can’t poop for days. I think it’s really just helped me identify foods that make me feel good and bad and be aware of my body. I’ve also lost 18 pounds, which is never a bad thing"

"I am a 100% raw foodist and have been for almost 4 years. I was diagnosed with cancer of the prostate and decided to allow my body to heal naturally. In the process I have improved and stabilized that condition and transformed the following:
1. Weight reduced from 83.7kg (184.1lbs) to 60.7kg (133.5lbs): a drop of 23kg (50.6lbs).
2. Blood pressure dropped from 135/85 to 110/60 (the blood pressure of a 21 year old, not a 67 year old). At one point sticking around 140/90.
3. Thyroid Function: TSH down from 27.90 to 3.12 (Healthy Range 0.40 – 4.00).
4. About 6 months into the raw food program, after initially getting worse, the diarrhoea I had been experiencing for several years stopped and normal bowl movements returned and have been sustained.
5. Also around the same time, after a very bad eczema attack on my shins, again which I had been suffering from for many years, disappeared along with the tinea between my toes and groin rash I had had since a young age. I have not re-experienced any of these skin conditions since.
6. Cholesterol has reduced from 5.3 to 3.8 (Healthy Range <5.5*).
? LDL Cholesterol (the bad stuff) down from 3.8 to 2.6 (Healthy Range <3.5).
? Coronary Risk Ratio has come down from 5.3 to 3.8 (Healthy Range <5.0).
7. Hay fever and itchy eye: This disabling condition, suffered since childhood has completely cleared.
8. I am engaged three times per week in a ‘serious group outdoor personal training program’ that includes sprinting, endurance running and weight training as well as weekly sessions of Yoga plus other gentle and not so gentle physical activity such as walking and gardening and solo running from 6 to 10 Kms non-stop on my ‘off days’. Not only has my health improved but my cardiovascular fitness and endurance has me training with, and keeping in touch with, people 20, 30 to 40 years my junior. I feel blessed with how fit and well I feel.
As you can imagine I am hooked 100% for life…"

"I am drawn/attracted to you and your family on a spiritual level. Your ebooks inspire me completely. I firmly believe in the laws of the universe as well as the law of attraction. I have asked the Universe/God to make available to me the knowledge of how I should treat my mind and body for health and longevity. In response, raw food teachers, websites, flyers, books, etc kept crossing my path. I am a lover of knowledge so I absorbed everything even though I had yet to put it into practice. I was fascinated. Interestingly, your website was the first raw food knowledge I obtained. Then I moved on to others: Fred Bisci, David Wolfe, Paul Nison, Truth Calkins, Natalia Rose, Matt Monarch, Angela Stokes, Victoria Boutenko, then back to Jinjee and Storm Talifero and the fabulous five (your kids ;). Well, here's the unexplainable part: out of all my readings/research, you and Storm are the only raw food teachers that I connected with, I understood you on a spiritual level, especially Storms experiences (he needs to write more!)
Unfortunately, the world of raw food has become as confusing and littered with "excess paraphenalia" as the S.A.D. world. I recently went to a raw food longevity conference and I was dismayed to see so may bottles, tubes, creams, concoctions, technologies....as the way to a long healthy life.
I love your teachings mainly because you stay true to the laws of the universe and you stand firm in your beliefs despite what the "mainstream" raw foodists are doing. You attract me because you are all about what I call "loving simplicity": Give and it will be given back to you. Give the best foods to your body and it will reward you with health. Work in harmony with the earth and it will reward you with it's abundance. Simple".

Hi Jinjee- Just wanted to send a quick note about the cleanse. Well, I made it through, 95% on track. Overall I thought it was great and was amazed how I felt and also with the quality of many of the recipes. For me it was really about getting a feeling of what being raw for that amount of time would feel like and how my body would react - which was good. My wife found out by day 3 that it was too hard on her system, she was really affected by the acid from the lemons the first couple days. But she tried many of the recipes throughout and enjoyed many of them as well. For me, just realizing that eating less and not starving was good. Getting my daily intake to a manageable level is one goal, and to be doing that in a predominantly raw way is another. The hard things are really making and taking the time to devote to the cleanse. I picked this time of year because I'm relatively not too busy, but I still had a short business trip and some travel that makes it hard, as well as everyday life with the kids and all. So I can see how being at a retreat to do your cleanse and being sequestered from life can heighten the awareness and effects. But overall I'm very happy to have participated and will work to incorporate many of these recipes into my life. One other thing was it got me to invest in a serious juicer because that was one of my favorite key things I realized - I love to do the juices. Oh, and forgot to say that I dropped 10 pounds. =) Thanks Jon
Hi Jinjee, This is just a note to let you know you know how much I appreciated the program! I was not in need of losing weight. I just wanted to be healthy. My goal was to see if I could become a raw vegan. I downloaded and read all of your program. I see how important regular exercise is to being healthy and to staying on the raw vegan program. I did add some exercise to my program but I still need to improve in that area. I found the recipes too much for my schedule, so I simplified them and followed your general outline. I was able to stay raw for 21 days ( I had 5 moments in which I nibbled non raw items, but I don't think that was so bad for my first try!) I travel in my work and am in a different city every day. I drive 1 hr to work, work 12 hours, am not allowed to leave the work area for lunch, have to eat while working and am under constant pressure from the public all day, then drive 1 hr home. I wondered how I could ever become a raw vegan. The story by the policeman in your 28 day program, convinced me otherwise. I am so proud to have accomplished 3 weeks. The last week I went on vacation, I kept the vegan diet for 4 days, but fell off the last 6 days because of time and availability of proper food. The journals were great, it helped me to notice when and what I ate, and my feelings during all of this experiment. I experimented with not eating after 6pm. It made a vast difference! I slept better and felt better. The exercises you suggested were good but my computer goes dim during the activity, so I switched to doing exercises with DVD's I had at home so that I could see them better. I knew that for me with my schedule, having a positive attitude was key to my success. I have some gratitude books and some motivational books at home, but it meant so much to me to receive your motivational phrases and the happiness exercises! I looked forward to seeing what you had to say each day. I especially liked the ideas for keeping a journal of diet, exercise and of feelings. It was very helpful. Also the idea taking time for a quiet time of reflection and writing about our spiritual experience. I had some very touching moments. Because of my work schedule, it is difficult to make time for contact with other raw vegans or wannabe raw vegans like myself. I really appreciated the support. I am inspired to make more of an effort locally now. I would like to keep in touch to see what you might offer in the future. Thank you so much. You are providing a much needed service to those of us who believe in the raw organic lifestyle. Sincerely, Mary Lee
i just wanted to say thank you so much for the e-books! i was so excited that i sarted reading them at work and when i arrived home the first recipe i made was the lemon treat! was awesome. if i had recipes years ago i would have started my way of eating! i believe thats why so many of us continue to cook food is because this is all we know. also thank you for taking the time to return my telephone call yesterday. as soon as i find a distributer for the organic oranges i will start the oj fast/diet! thank you and storm for sharing your experiences and knowledge. your children are beautiful.
- Carolyn
Thank you Jinjee, you are such a gentle and encouraging soul.

Aloha!! THANK YOU JINJEE!! Your candida insight of raw vs. cooked + raw is VERY interesting!! thank you!
I showed my hubby the pictures of Storm, he could not believe that Storm is over 60! I am hoping that one day he will try raw for a week. You inspired me to go 100% raw. we are similar in height and our starting weight was almost the same. Your story of meeting Storm, and your transformation really triggered something in me. Thank you, I am 100 times better! I only wish I had learned of raw much earlier.
Aloha!! The 21 Day Cleanse & it's plethora of information is amazing for weight loss...I've lost 165 lbs and kept it off for over 10 years; and raw is definitely a DELICIOUS factor in my maintenance
- L
I have lost almost 50 pounds. I went from a tight size 14 jeans to a size, well I thought they were 6's I bought them off the rack of 6's, but yesterday saw the tag, they were a size 4! Holy smokes! I have been maintaining for over a year. The raw lifestyle has been the easiest, most delicious change I have ever made for my health. Jinjee's recipies are awesome and I love that there is no dehydrated foods....wetter is better!!
- R
I was vegetarian when I weighed a lot...it was the cheese, pasta, butter + processed carbs that packed it on.
I've been "high raw (not 100%)" "beegan" (vegan w/bee products) the entire time. I can't do a lot of nuts or fruit, so I eat steamed veggies, potatoes. Any oil I take in is raw. Any dessert recipe ever for me is raw. I still love hot veggie soup & steamed artichokes :). Slow and steady wins the race!! :)
- O
I'm with you. I don't care how long it takes. I just want to learn the tools, incorporate them permanently in my life and see consistent changes and weight loss. Slow and study always wins the race!
- K
Three years ago I did a juice feast where I drank 4 liters of juice per day for 30 days. I went from 150 to 120lbs. Then I went for my medical check up and my doctor went over the basket telling me I was to skinny and it didn't make any sense to do this... She shook me up a bit and I sort of let go of the 100% raw diet to a 80% raw with occasional cooked meal that I prepare for my husband. Since May 2010, I have done 2 cleanses and I have been raw 100%. I may have lost 2lbs but went form a size 12 to a 10 (Canadian size, US is 6). I have much more stamina and feel more positive. I don't think I need to loose much weight because my body seems to be happy at 135lbs. The main reason I do this is to shrink an ovarian cyst that has been growing in the last 2 years.
Best of luck to us all.
- M
Slow and steady is the best way to lose weight, and I agree that Jinjee's recipes are great. I don't own a dehydrater, so the lack of dry foods is a great help in the kitchen.
- R
Awesome and an awesome reason to be here with Jingee! Juice is the word!! SOULFOOD.....to me once you realize that thin doesn't necessarily = happy...that's the first part...so you still have to feed the soul...and all else is part of the amazing journey with amazing friends!!
I'm not bulemic looking...you can see me on my website...very important for me to be and feel STRONG so i'm not into that "my daughter's jeans or i want to exist on a latte" mentality :)

Aloha wow this is a great line "it will take more than one day to release it"...I'm so thankful that Jingee invited the almuns back...it took me til this second time to really talk to anyone in the forum!! The support and love of others has helped me immensely in my journey!!
namaste!

The raw vegan diet is an amazing catalyst for healthy weight loss and having a fit strong body. I have lost over 40lbs on the vegan/raw vegan diet. I am looking forwards to hearing about other's health stories!
- J
I have released 25 or so pounds since April going raw. I started the first cleanse with Jinjee in July and that really helped. Now I am doing this one. Hopefully to release more toxins and weight maybe 20 pounds to go....
- L
We will get it done one meal at a time...that's what's so great about the guidebooks!!! I would have NEVER thought to put cilantro in my tabouleh......Jingee + Storm are GENIUS!!!!
- B
Yes! the weight will come off it is an awesome " side effect " of eating Raw. I have lost 70 pounds and counting, it is the best ever! And you have so much energy as well LOVE IT!!!!
- K
I've lost 7 pounds already and am feeling great.....I love the fruit, juices, almond mylk (I added a frozen banana to make a banana shake).....woo hooooooo
- P
I also would like to lose weight. I lost 10 pounds this week and am so excited and motivated. It's hard the first couple of days....but you have to do this for YOU. I found that I had to make an inner decision to stick with it.....and I kept lots of water nearby. I can't begin to tell you how easy it has gotten and how motivated I am after feeling so great and seeing results. Just make a commitment to a couple of days, then once you see shifts, you will want to keep going. One day at a time. You CAN do this. I'm happy to be a support if it helps.
- J
Cynthia, the things that are helping me succeed with my weight loss are being accountable to all of you, writing about it and my feelings each day, and sticking with the program. Or as close as I can. Yes there are times that I have strayed and like you I have gotten back on track again. That's what is called "Life". I'm finding it's okay to do that.
- T
I am a nighttime eater too. I usually get my second wind for night-owl-dom around 9 pm. But ever since getting on this program I have stopped eating after 8 pm. If I get a craving now, I will first take a sip of water with some lemon juice in it. I'm sipping on water with lime juice right now and it's past 11. Then I will sit with the "feeling" for a bit and allow myself to actually FEEL it and experience it. Journal it even. I never did that before. I used to run to the cupboard to stuff those emotions. Then mentally beat myself up for overeating and getting fatter, which resulted in me eating more. Grrrr.
So what is a craving? It's chemicals in our brain released to our body that are triggering some memory and/or emotion. For me the nighttime issues are usually centered around loneliness. If the craving/feeling becomes overwhelming and does not stop with water and writing about it, then I will have a small piece of fruit (a couple of raspberries, some apple or orange slices) and some more water. If I snarf the package of raspberries and the entire apple, it's no big deal. Thanks to this program I am learning some new ways of coping and managing my food/feeling outbursts.
My hope/goal here is to release at least 120 pounds. And I can finally see/feel the weight coming off - not only on the scale but in the mirror. And that INSPIRES me to continue. To see what else I can do. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Even if it's just for one or two floors. Walk 10 minutes out and return, that's 20 minutes. I am finding that small steps result in huge changes.
You can do this too. You ARE doing this. Conquering each day as you go. Each day better than the previous one. I have faith in you. We all do. We are here for you. We can do this together. Hugs to you,
- C
"The best thing I have noticed about this program is that if I am hungry, I do not have to eat, water is what I need first.

"I was thrilled with the 21 day cleanse. I was ready for change and that paired with the cleanse buddy, the excellent recipes, this blog site, the workouts, and the happiness reminders was a total package for me. I felt like I could ask Storm and Jinjee questions and they are such humble people and so generous with their time and talents that was a big wow factor for me. What I learned and what I got out of this cleanse:
• I lost 15 pounds and my clothes fit great
• I gained confidence in eating cleaner when others around me are not
• I learned that I feel better when I eat live foods
He is planning on making some life style changes although he won't be 100% raw, he is excited about what this program did for him and made him realize and he is supportive of what I what to do in the future.

"I want to thank you for introducing me to the raw foods lifestyle!!!! I've been raw for 3 months now & I've NEVER felt so healthy! I've lost 28 lbs and have tons of energy! (I need all the energy I can get! I work at a preschool teaching 2 yr olds! ) Thank you again!!!"

"Thanks for all the time, effort, and attention to detail you created on this program. It isn't often you get to talk to the person in charge and I loved doing so on the 2nd conference call. Please tell Storm thank you and your children for sharing their mom. You did a wonderful job and I look forward to reading your daily blog. It gives me a boost and motivation to make changes. Thanks so much for helping me be true to myself on this program".
- Kathy
"I have been 100% raw for one entire week even while my kids are with me (an amazing feat for me, especially since I made them some cooked things.) And, as happens with me when I do 100% for more than about three and a half days, the feelings come rolling in. How smart I have been to alleviate these overwhelming feelings using food, or at least chewing, anyway. But, that was a coping mechanism that had its place and time, and I now want the growth that comes from being with my feelings instead of running from them. So I am going to continue coming here and staying connected to you guys with the goal of walking through them this time"

After going to press next week, I look forward to reporting our weight loss and heightened energy. Plus I cannot wait to share these results and your program/website with our readers"!

"I visited your website when my raw friend sent it to me. I’m raw because it’s the first thing since I was like… 13 that’s made my IBS better. If I have even a few bites of bread or cheese I’m doubled over in cramps or can’t poop for days.
